Admirals Club Review - Toronto PDF Print E-mail
As a frequent traveler, I'm fortunate enough to be able to enjoy airport lounges on most of my journeys. I've found that American Airlines Admirals Clubs consistently offer everything I seek in a lounge. I know I'm going to find fresh food and drinks, helpful staff and a comfortable environment to work or relax.
Admiral's Club at MIA
I just returned from a trip to Canada and had a chance to visit the Admirals Club at Toronto's Pearson International Airport. Visiting the Admirals Club made turned a five hour lay-over into a productive, relaxing experience.

InterContinental Montreal - Hotel Review PDF Print E-mail
Montreal is an exciting and dynamic city, but wow is it cold during the winter. I visited (for my first time) in January and embraced the cold, even staying in an ice hotel. When I wasn't freezing in the ice hotel, I spent a few nights in the warm luxury of the Montreal InterContinental Hotel (360 Saint-Antoine Street West).

Location
To me, like in buying real estate, it's all about location when it comes to hotels. I would rather pay a bit more for a central location that puts me within easy walking distance of historic sites and monuments, than stay outside the city to save some money. The InterContinental Montreal is in an ideal location, almost straddling the border between Old Montreal, the city's quaint historic area, and the modern international business district. The hotel is also within an easy walk from cool neighborhoods (Montreal is full of them) like Mile End, The Plateau and St. Denis.

Floating Music Festivals Offer a Great Musical Vacation Experience PDF Print E-mail
I'm a fan of music festivals. I think they represent a great opportunity to see a large group of bands in a single (or multi) day experience. Festival organizers work hard to provide a line-up of similar music and / or a diverse group of offerings that will please most festival goers. I also like attending music festivals because they usually represent a good value, compared to buying tickets to see each artist perform individually. In addition to the great music, I find I encounter people with similar tastes and interests to mine and enjoy meeting and networking with them.Weezer on the Weezer cruise

I like attending music festivals so much that I've also attended two on the high seas. Music-themed cruises with major artists like Kid Rock, KISS, Weezer and more now bring the music festival experience to a cruise ship, offering a great musical vacation.

Review: Peruvian Legends Discovery Tour from Gate 1 Travel PDF Print E-mail

I've always been a independent traveler, whether on my own or with a buddy or two. I've just returned from my second group travel experience in the past six months and I have to say I'm beginning to really like it. I enjoy having a full itinerary planned and executed for me and, for that brief time, being told what to do and when to do it.

I was in Peru with 13 other travelers on the Peruvian Legends Discovery Tour from Gate 1 Travel. We spent 12 nights there and everything about the tour: the meals, hotels, excursions, transfers, flights, were all executed perfectly. Combine that with a smart, native-born tour manager and an amazing destination like Peru, and it was an incredible experience for all of us.
