Review: Peruvian Legends Discovery Tour from Gate 1 Travel |
By Freddy Sherman
I've always been a independent traveler, whether on my own or with a buddy or two. I've just returned from my second group travel experience in the past six months and I have to say I'm beginning to really like it. I enjoy having a full itinerary planned and executed for me and, for that brief time, being told what to do and when to do it. I was in Peru with 13 other travelers on the Peruvian Legends Discovery Tour from Gate 1 Travel. We spent 12 nights there and everything about the tour: the meals, hotels, excursions, transfers, flights, were all executed perfectly. Combine that with a smart, native-born tour manager and an amazing destination like Peru, and it was an incredible experience for all of us. We all had a great time and I can really recommend this for travelers who want to visit Peru, but with a knowledgable and experienced guide and company.

Essential Travel Gadgets: Nintendo 3DS |
By Freddy Sherman
As a frequent traveler, I make sure I equip myself with gadgets that make my travel experience convenient and enjoyable. One of the essential travel gadgets that always goes along with me is my Nintendo 3DS. This portable gaming device does much more than just play video games. With built-in WiFi, I use the system to keep me entertained during long plane rides and to watch movies in my hotel room via Netflix.
Nintendo 3DS The 3DS is a cool little portable video game device that brings 3D technology into the palm of your hands. Without any glasses, the system allows games, videos and photos to be viewed in very realistic 3D. The 3DS system retails for $169.99 and the larger 3DS XL system is $199.99

Inkaterra La Casona Cusco Peru hotel review |
I just returned from an incredible tour of Peru that included a few days in the ancient Inca capital of Cusco. Although I didn't stay at the Inkaterra La Casona, I did visit this historic property and can recommend it as a luxurious option for Cusco visitors. The hotel has been on my radar for a while, I also noticed it when I first visited Cusco in 2008. The Inkaterra brand, with six hotels in Peru, has established itself as the leader in boutique luxury and they really blend local (and Inca) culture with the style, service and amenities serious travelers demand. The hotel is housed in a classic Spanish colonial mansion built in the 1600s, hidden from the street by a large door. Inside, there is a beautiful courtyard, surrounded by columns and arches.
Location The Inkaterra La Casona (Plaza Nazarenas 113, Cusco) is right near Cusco's San Blas district, home to many of the city's artists and art studios. It's also directly next door to the Museum of Pre-Columbian Art. The hotel is only a few steps down the street from the Plaza de Armas and the main tourist and historic area. It's a very central location that allows for easy walking access to all the museums and tourist areas.

By Freddy Sherman
For Harley-Davidson riders who are visiting Los Angeles, or locals who want a cool weekend getaway, motorcycle rentals offer a great chance to get out and explore the beautiful Southern California area on two wheels. Needing only a valid motorcycle license, renters can get a great bike, along with a helmet and all the safety gear they need.
Where to rent Most Harley-Davidson dealerships offer rentals. Glendale Harley-Davidson (3717 San Fernando Road Glendale, CA) has been making Southern California riders happy since 1976 and offers a full range of rentals. They cater to tourists visiting Southern California and can handle all the arrangements for a Southern California Harley riding vacation.

What is this site?
This is my personal travel blog and website. My name is Freddy Sherman and I'm a world traveler, writer and photographer. I mainly contribute articles for Yahoo! and Yahoo! Travel. This site gives me the opportunity to discuss and write about things that are too controversial for Yahoo!'s audience. I can also take readers behind the scenes, and discuss my adventures as a travel writer and what those experiences are like.
In addition to writing, I post my travel photos on Flickr HERE and have also started taking 1-2 minute narrated videos and posted them on my YouTube channel HERE.
I welcome comments, suggestions and feedback, not to mention invitations to dinner or drinks in your city.

Cusco Hotel Review - Novotel Cusco |
When developers take a very modern hotel and put it inside a very old historic building, sometimes it works, sometimes not. At the Novotel Cusco, it works. The hotel is housed in a beautiful, historic Spanish colonish courtyard building, about a block and a half from Cusco's main square or Plaza de Armas.
