Cathay Pacific Business Class To Hong Kong: A Review PDF Print E-mail

By Freddy Sherman

I've had the pleasure of flying Cathay Pacific in the past and to be honest, I knew what to expect when I found out I would be flying their Business Class service on a flight from Los Angeles to Hong Kong. As I expected, everything was flawless. Even in Business Class, Cathay Pacific really delivers a luxury experience that makes it like spending the evening at a fancy restaurant and hotel, then waking up in Hong Kong.

Discovery Tours from Gate 1 Travel Delivers a Great Small Group Experience PDF Print E-mail

The more I travel, the more friends and family ask me for recommendations for tour operators. Although I was never a fan of group tours, the new small-group, mild adventure tours are great experiences. I just returned from the Peruvian Legends Discovery Tour from Gate 1 Travel. Gate 1 is a recognized leader in the group tour industry, but they've started this new division to address the demand for these small group experiences. I traveled with 12 other people, with a tour manager who was with us the entire time. We were joined by local guides in the various cities or regions we visited.

The 10 Best LucasArts Games PDF Print E-mail

Oh, so that’s why Disney shuttered the iconic video game publisher LucasArts: because they wanted to pass the Star Wars baton to EA. If you’re under a certain age — say, 25 — that news might not be of much significance to you. The days of LucasArts as a bold innovator that nurtured auteurs like Tim Schafer and Lawrence Holland seem to be long behind us, and the goliath’s last decade was better defined by deadlines missed and opportunities squandered rather than by games actually delivered.

Golf Travel: Presidente InterContinental Cozumel PDF Print E-mail

As a golfer, I'm constantly looking for unique and luxurious destinations to visit that also offer great golf experiences. I love Mexico and think Cozumel, a small island off the coast near Cancun, is one of the most beautiful spots to vacation.

The InterContinental Presidente Cozumel Resort & Spa is sponsoring the 5th Annual International Cozumel Island Golf Tournament, providing a competitive day of golf for island visitors. For golfers looking for a tropical vacation, combined with the competition of a golf tournament, it's a great time to visit this beautiful place.

InterContinental Montreal - Hotel Review PDF Print E-mail
Montreal is an exciting and dynamic city, but wow is it cold during the winter. I visited (for my first time) in January and embraced the cold, even staying in an ice hotel. When I wasn't freezing in the ice hotel, I spent a few nights in the warm luxury of the Montreal InterContinental Hotel (360 Saint-Antoine Street West).

Location
To me, like in buying real estate, it's all about location when it comes to hotels. I would rather pay a bit more for a central location that puts me within easy walking distance of historic sites and monuments, than stay outside the city to save some money. The InterContinental Montreal is in an ideal location, almost straddling the border between Old Montreal, the city's quaint historic area, and the modern international business district. The hotel is also within an easy walk from cool neighborhoods (Montreal is full of them) like Mile End, The Plateau and St. Denis.

Floating Music Festivals Offer a Great Musical Vacation Experience PDF Print E-mail
I'm a fan of music festivals. I think they represent a great opportunity to see a large group of bands in a single (or multi) day experience. Festival organizers work hard to provide a line-up of similar music and / or a diverse group of offerings that will please most festival goers. I also like attending music festivals because they usually represent a good value, compared to buying tickets to see each artist perform individually. In addition to the great music, I find I encounter people with similar tastes and interests to mine and enjoy meeting and networking with them.Weezer on the Weezer cruise

I like attending music festivals so much that I've also attended two on the high seas. Music-themed cruises with major artists like Kid Rock, KISS, Weezer and more now bring the music festival experience to a cruise ship, offering a great musical vacation.
